Truth be said, I think I have too many "Guilty Pleasures" for them to be considered guilty pleasures anymore. I think I have actually crossed the line into have plain old "Bad Taste." I keep my copy of The Fifth Element right next to my copy of Big Trouble in Little China.Chris Sorensennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4452765961498419667.post-11082664611928031312007-04-04T00:13:54.000-06:002007-04-04T00:13:54.000-06:00luc besson has one magnum opus and it is the fifth...luc besson has one magnum opus and it is the fifth element.... i liked the professional and la femme nikita (even thought there was slight cheesey factor there) but if you havent seen 5th element yet then let that be the movie to base his others against....mikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4452765961498419667.post-54940231003799274252007-04-04T11:30:46.000-06:002007-04-04T11:30:46.000-06:00I haven't seen The Fifth Element for a long, l...I haven't seen The Fifth Element for a long, long time, and when I saw it first, it was the second movie at a drive-in. I think as a result of the viewing conditions, it just seemed kind of weird, but I definitely want to see it again. Sometimes futuristic stuff is so good (and sometimes so bad). The Professional is brilliant (saw it edited for TV). Partly because of Jean Reno, who is an amazing actor. The relationship between Léon and the girl is so realistic and moving. The action's great, too, but I thought the relationship stuff was more important. I love that movie.Erinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4452765961498419667.post-24447596668981781102007-03-29T22:16:19.000-06:002007-03-29T22:16:19.000-06:00I'm with you. That title has to go to The Transporter 2. Luc Besson's movies are always hit and miss. The Professional is one of my favorites.Jacknoreply@blogger.com
