ally and i were just talking about how we are strangely drawn to the prequel to this movie.... mask of zorro... i think it is the sword fighting and anthony hopkins that wins it... anyway i dont think i ever this one but it sounds like i didnt miss much.... the bad guy is the bad guy from lost....
The Mask of Zorro was a much better movie than The Legend of Zorro--more plot, more interesting characters, etc. But Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are beautiful people, so it's not hard to watch them, even in a mediocre movie. Which bad guy? Oh, maybe I shouldn't ask; I've only seen the first season of Lost.
after being sick for 5 days and watchin a pile of movies it is strange that ally put on the mask of zorro yesterday without even seeing this first.... but as i didnt watch the whole thing i remembered all of it and yes i will stand by what i said before... this was a good one.... hopkins is the main draw here with his wit and ability to keep the movie going regardless of pretty people.... disturbing scene : watching antonio bandares drink a cup of "water" from the container holding his brothers head..... if i wasnt sick already that woulda made my stomach turn.... if you cant remember what i am talking about then dont try....
I don't remember that part. Yuck. Have you guys seen The Count of Monte Cristo? It's not nearly as good as the book, but I thought the sword-fighting was very good. Not so choreographed and more like they were actually trying to kill each other.
I finally finished the sweater I designed and made for Jon, and here it is: Jon is a programmer, user, fan, and proponent of free software (similar to open-source software), hence the "free as in freedom." I don't know if the phrase is the official tagline of the Free Software Foundation , but it's the title of a biography of Richard Stallman , the father of the free software movement, and it describes what is meant by "free software." Anyway, I wanted Jon's sweater (the first I've made for him) to be unique to him, and this is what we came up with. It looks good on him, right? :)
I really enjoyed this and even started to feel a little addicted to it by the end. I like watching TV shows on DVD—it’s great to have no commercials and to be able to watch as many episodes as you want. Although this can also be detrimental if you watch six or eight episodes and find it’s 1:00 am when you finally force yourself to stop. Anyway, “Arrested Development” is very funny. All of the characters are hilarious and well-acted, and one of them rides a Segue! Shouldn’t more people be making fun of Segues? I’m looking forward to seeing the second season, but I don’t know if we can bring ourselves to buy it. We like to leach off of other people for our DVD needs, especially when it comes to TV shows.
Putumayo is a recording label that specializes in world music. All of their CDs guarantee "to make you feel good." So far I have found this to be true. A couple of weeks ago, while I was showing my mom and two of my sisters some of the cool shops in our area, I bought Putumayo's Brazilian Lounge . We like various kinds of electronic music (or techno or whatever; I am easily confused by labels), especially lounge stuff by groups like Thievery Corporation ), and I admit that I thought if I bought something Jon would like, he might not notice the money I was spending. (I also bought a floral mat made from recycled plastic, which I love very much and used as a sort of porch to our tent when we went camping recently.) Anyway, it was another successful music acquisition: groovy and mellow with cool Brazilian melodies and words. Shortly after I bought it, Jon said we needed to get more because he was in danger of making himself sick of it by listening to it too much. Now that
